Herok have been making Kinderboxes for over 50 years, in fact since 1966 when Herok was first established. The Kinderbox remains one of our best-selling ranges today, but has been developed with many improvements and variations over the years.
What is a Kinderbox?
‘Designed with the little ones in mind, a Kinderbox makes an ideal children’s library and storage unit, giving easy access to all your books and having deep pockets means that they offer a great combination of capacity and display.’
It’s great to see children being able to see the picture book they would like to choose, and be able to get the books in and out easily without wrestling with them.
Our first Kinderbox had black or white square tubular steel legs (Product code 7010) and was only available in what we call ‘multi-coloured’, and it’s this colour-combination which gave us the idea for the Herok logo a few years ago.
But now Kinderboxes are available static or mobile (on lockable castors), in many shapes and sizes to fit any design scheme, and come in our full range of colour combinations. Recently we developed Kinderboxes that incorporate forward-facing book displays, and even a miniaturised version for infants’ tiny fingers, see our Infant Ripple Mobile Kinderbox (Product code 7094).
